Meet the Ahmadzai Family, a mom and dad with five children: two girls, ages 10 and 2, and three boys, ages 16, 13, and 8. They arrived from Afghanistan in December 2023. The wife is looking for an online English class because she is taking care of her kids and her disabled husband. They urgently need basic household items. Welcome to Virginia, Zaheri family! Mom and Dad are a young couple, who just had their very first baby girl. Dad was an interpreter with the US embassy in Afghanistan, and hopes to continue his education here to become a counselor-at-law. One of his favorite qualities about himself is that he is a driven individual, who isn't afraid to face a challenge. He said if he had one day to do anything in the world, he would use it to end racism and build peace.
