The Ghanem family is from Syria and consists of Mom, Dad, and two beautiful daughters, ages 6 and 8. One of the girls was born in Syria and the other was born in Jordan. After the family moved from Syria to Jordan, the family stayed in Jordan until they came to the U.S. in September 2016 through the UNHCR. Please help and support this family. They need our love and generosity!
The Darwish Family are refugees from Afghanistan who arrived to the US in April 2018 and settled in Orange County, California. There are seven of them - Mom and Dad, along with five kids - 3 boys (ages 18, 16 and 14) and 2 girls (ages 6 and 1). The father worked as a translator with American soldiers, and only he and his eldest son can speak English. Miry's List is helping them to rebuild their lives in California, where they are in need of many things for their home as the children are sleeping on the floor. Habibi Family consist of mom and dad with 4 kids, 23 to 2.5 years old, arrived newly in mid March 2018. Dad has MD and 13 years experience in public outreach and civil society promotion and he got the SIV due to life threats. Their apartment is empty. They all sleep on the floor. They need your love and generosity to welcome them.
The Mehran Family consists of mom, dad, and two young siblings. Both mom and dad were college-educated in Afghanistan. Dad was part of the Kabul Elections council for 10 years and worked alongside US Army and Marines in Afghanistan. Mom worked in the domestic violence department in the Council for Womens Rights of Afghanistan but now has fallen ill and under extreme emotional stress. They need your help during this tough time.
UPDATED: The Mirza family moved to the US from Afghanistan nearly a year ago. Dad worked as a driver at the US embassy while mom took care of their 4 children at home (2 boys and 2 girls). Husnia, 7, dreams of being a doctor when she grows up. She loves dancing, playing with her friends, the color pink, and burgers & fries. Please help this family get on their feet. The Qawi family moved to the US from Afghanistan, where Mr. Qawi assisted American soldiers as a medical translator. The family has three young children and a newborn baby. Currently, the father is studying nursing and working 3 days a week. The kids love soccer, cats, the color blue and french fries, and they want to be doctors when they grow up. The Zar Niazi family has 6 people - mom and dad, with 4 kids aged 2-5 years old. They arrived on 7/11/2017 from Afghanistan. The father of the family worked with US aid companies, but his life was not secure, so he got an SIV and traveled with his family to the US. They are in need of household items and while dad does not yet have a new job, they feel safe here and they are happy.
The Gharwal family moved to the United States from Afghanistan in October of last year. They stayed with the husband's sister in a one-bedroom apartment for a few months until they were able to get their own place. The father worked over seven years in different USAID-funded projects. They just welcomed a new baby and are now a family of eight! Please help this family settle into their home.

The dad worked as a medical doctor with the American military in Afghanistan and the mom is a housewife. All of their children are in school and they have THREE SETS OF TWIN BOYS! The Nasir family arrived in Nov 28 2017 and settled in Sacramento,CA. They came to the U.S. by the SIV program. They have 2 boys, 6 and 7 years-old. Mom and Dad both can speak English but not well. Mom is going to school and dad is working. Their kids are in school right now too and could use the help to sustain their new education. Let's help welcome this family!
Syrian family with Mom and Dad and 4 kids (3 girls and 1 Boy). The family moved from Syria to Jordan in 2012 and waited there until they arrived to USA through UNHCR in 2016. They recently arrived to El Cajon from Sacramento. Prior to that they were in Tennessee. The kids currently sleep on the floor in their empty apartment. Through hard times, the kids still remain close and hopeful as shown in their picture here. Let's help fill this family's apartment with love and support.
This list is for the Al Krad's, a family of 8 who arrived to the US from Syria in late 2016. Their second eldest son was shot by the Syrian Army and left permanently disabled. Another son was tragically shot and killed in Syria. The mother is currently pregnant with a baby girl who is due to arrive into the world on October 8, 2018. The family is in need of some electronic items, and especially of items for the baby. Let's shower them with some Miry's List love!

This Syrian family of 8 moved to Jordan after a rocket hit their house in 2012. They now live in the San Diego region and have 3 boys age 19, 9 and 6. The daughters are age 16, 14 and 12. They need help with clothing, sheets, cleaning items and living room furniture. Any help is deeply appreciated. Note: Items were added back in March but they as they are still in need of those items.
Hello Miry's List community! The Sultani's are a large family of 8 (2 parents and 6 children ages 5 to 20). They traveled to the US from Afghanistan in December 2017 after receiving an SIV (Special Immigrant Visa) due to threats to their lives and the war in Afghanistan. Now they are in need of some household items, most notably BIKES for the kids who walk one-hour to and from school and a very special WHEELCHAIR for the 5 year old boy.
