The Najm Family is a large Afghan family with ten children between the ages of 4 and 19. Their lives in danger, the family fled Afghanistan where the father worked as an interpreter during the US mission, and arrived in the US in 2016. The children are all in school and the father now works a minimum wage job. Please help this wonderful family!
The Rafi family is made up of a single mother with four children. Sadly, the father was killed in a car accident their first week in the US and one of the children was also involved in a car accident and has severe brain injury. The family is now living with an uncle and they are in need of household items. Please help this family!
The Zamani Family arrived from Afghanistan on July 12, 2017. They lived for almost a year in a one bedroom apartment before recently making the transition to a new apartment in LA. Before coming to the US, Dad had served the US military and Mom was a homemaker. Now settled in California, Dad is working while Mom is staying home to take care of the little ones. With the older children in school and not yet able to work, the family is currently in need of help to meet their basic needs.

Their daughter Halah has leukemia and will be in the hospital for at least 6 months. The Chromebook will allow her to do homework from the hospital and the gift cards will help with other needs. This list is for a family from Iraq: a single dad and four kids. In 2010, the oldest son, Ahmed, and his mom were hit by a car bomb. His mom died and Ahmed survived, but was badly injured. The family then moved to Jordan so that Ahmed could get surgery and so they could apply through the UNHCR to come to the United States. Ahmed’s surgeries will continue into 2024 and he now also has stage two brain cancer. The family needs your support.

The Sherzai Family arrived in the US in November of 2017. Before they left Afghanistan, the father worked for the US as a driver. The four children, ages 11 to 17, are all in school. The Ghafoory family consists of Mom and Dad, 2 daughters and 4 sons. The father holds a bachelor degree and worked as a university lecturer in the Heart province of Afghanistan before relocating to the U.S with his family in February of 2018. The 20-year-old daughter was medical student in her 6th semester and she, along with her sister and father, plan to continue their higher education here in the states. They need laptops and college supplies to achieve this goal. The 12-year-old son is disabled and is in need of educational toys.
The Darwish Family are refugees from Afghanistan who arrived to the US in April 2018 and settled in Orange County, California. There are seven of them - Mom and Dad, along with five kids - 3 boys (ages 18, 16 and 14) and 2 girls (ages 6 and 1). The father worked as a translator with American soldiers, and only he and his eldest son can speak English. Miry's List is helping them to rebuild their lives in California, where they are in need of many things for their home as the children are sleeping on the floor. Habibi Family consist of mom and dad with 4 kids, 23 to 2.5 years old, arrived newly in mid March 2018. Dad has MD and 13 years experience in public outreach and civil society promotion and he got the SIV due to life threats. Their apartment is empty. They all sleep on the floor.
