Meet the Alabdullah Family: Mom, Dad, and 5 kids under the age of 9. The 3 oldest children (a girl age 8, and two boys, age 6 and 7) were born in Syria. The family moved from Syria to Jordan before arrive in the US in June 2017. They welcomed 2 more members of the family (a girl, age 1, and a 5 month old son) while living in Sacramento, and now reside in El Cajon. The Alkhateeb family consists of Mom, Dad, Grandma, three daughters aged 3, 5 and 14 and a 3 month old baby. The family left their home in Syria after the Army started taking members of their family, including their uncle. They moved to Jordan in 2012 and arrived in America in 2016. Please help support this family!
The Ghafoory family consists of Mom and Dad, 2 daughters and 4 sons. The father holds a bachelor degree and worked as a university lecturer in the Heart province of Afghanistan before relocating to the U.S with his family in February of 2018. The 20-year-old daughter was medical student in her 6th semester and she, along with her sister and father, plan to continue their higher education here in the states. They need laptops and college supplies to achieve this goal. The 12-year-old son is disabled and is in need of educational toys.
The Zar Niazi family has 6 people - mom and dad, with 4 kids aged 2-5 years old. They arrived on 7/11/2017 from Afghanistan. The father of the family worked with US aid companies, but his life was not secure, so he got an SIV and traveled with his family to the US. They are in need of household items and while dad does not yet have a new job, they feel safe here and they are happy.
The Gharwal family moved to the United States from Afghanistan in October of last year. They stayed with the husband's sister in a one-bedroom apartment for a few months until they were able to get their own place. The father worked over seven years in different USAID-funded projects. They just welcomed a new baby and are now a family of eight! Please help this family settle into their home.
Hello Miry's List Community! The Ibrahimkhil's are a family of 9 from Afghanistan who arrived to Orange County in March 2016. The dad worked as a medical doctor with the American military in Afghanistan and the mom is a housewife. All of their children are in school and they have THREE SETS OF TWIN BOYS! They need help getting settled into their new home. Thank you for anything you can help with!
The Nasir family arrived in Nov 28 2017 and settled in Sacramento,CA. They came to the U.S. by the SIV program. They have 2 boys, 6 and 7 years-old. Mom and Dad both can speak English but not well. Mom is going to school and dad is working. Their kids are in school right now too and could use the help to sustain their new education. Let's help welcome this family!
Syrian family with Mom and Dad and 4 kids (3 girls and 1 Boy). The family moved from Syria to Jordan in 2012 and waited there until they arrived to USA through UNHCR in 2016. They recently arrived to El Cajon from Sacramento. Prior to that they were in Tennessee. The kids currently sleep on the floor in their empty apartment. Through hard times, the kids still remain close and hopeful as shown in their picture here. Let's help fill this family's apartment with love and support.
This Syrian family of 8 moved to Jordan after a rocket hit their house in 2012. They now live in the San Diego region and have 3 boys age 19, 9 and 6. The daughters are age 16, 14 and 12. They need help with clothing, sheets, cleaning items and living room furniture. Any help is deeply appreciated. Note: Items were added back in March but they as they are still in need of those items.
The Firoozi Family consists of mom, dad, and two boys of 5 and 2 years old. They arrived on May 4th 2017 from Afghanistan where Dad worked with US military. Here he works couple hours daily and rest of the day he is busy learning English. They barely afford the rent of their apartment, so they cannot purchase household items and often ask their neighbors to lend them items.
