The Najm Family is a large Afghan family with ten children between the ages of 4 and 19. Their lives in danger, the family fled Afghanistan where the father worked as an interpreter during the US mission, and arrived in the US in 2016. The children are all in school and the father now works a minimum wage job. Please help this wonderful family!
The Rafi family is made up of a single mother with four children. Sadly, the father was killed in a car accident their first week in the US and one of the children was also involved in a car accident and has severe brain injury. The family is now living with an uncle and they are in need of household items. Please help this family!
The Shams Family- Mom, Dad, and two young boys (ages 3 & 7) arrived to the US from Afghanistan in late September 2018. Dad previously worked as an engineer with a US Company until threats to the family forced them to flee their home, relatives and community in search of refuge in the US. Their apartment, which they are extremely grateful to have been resettled in, is completely empty, so they are in desperate need of basic household supplies and other items to begin the slow process of rebuilding their lives in America. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping this family to begin again as our new neighbors.
Meet the Rahimi family! Dad, mom and their three children arrived in the US from Afghanistan in late 2016. They have an eight and six year old son along with a four year old daughter. Dad is currently enrolled in college while also working as security guard to support the family. He previously worked as a translator for the the US Army while in Afghanistan. The family is in need of furniture, clothes, shoes, and technology items.
The Zamani Family arrived from Afghanistan on July 12, 2017. They lived for almost a year in a one bedroom apartment before recently making the transition to a new apartment in LA. Before coming to the US, Dad had served the US military and Mom was a homemaker. Now settled in California, Dad is working while Mom is staying home to take care of the little ones. With the older children in school and not yet able to work, the family is currently in need of help to meet their basic needs.
The Abedy family needs your support! Dad worked with the US government and US army for about 12 years while living in Iraq, but the family left after being faced with a life-threatening situation. They have four kids, one of them a newborn baby boy. Please help provide them with what they need to make their apartment a home!
Single mother and daughter from Afghanistan moved to Southern California in October 2017. Father worked for USAID funded projects but sadly passed away before the family moved to the U.S to start rebuilding their lives. The lovely daughter is multilingual and they're both eager to become employed and start their new lives in the states. The Sherzai Family arrived in the US in November of 2017. Before they left Afghanistan, the father worked for the US as a driver. The four children, ages 11 to 17, are all in school. This has been a difficult transition for the family, but they remain dedicated to starting their new lives. Please help this loving family!
