The Zamani Family arrived from Afghanistan on July 12, 2017. They lived for almost a year in a one bedroom apartment before recently making the transition to a new apartment in LA. Before coming to the US, Dad had served the US military and Mom was a homemaker. Now settled in California, Dad is working while Mom is staying home to take care of the little ones. With the older children in school and not yet able to work, the family is currently in need of help to meet their basic needs.

Welcome to California! The Samsam family is a mom, dad, daughter, and son who arrived in March 2016 to Southern California from Syria. Mom and Dad married just before war broke out and they were forced to flee Syria for Jordan, where their daughter was born. Two years ago, Dad suffered a massive heart attack and has been unable to work. Their baby boy was born just a few months after Dad's heart attack. The Samsam family urgently needs clothes and blankets so they can be safe and warm, and a laptop so that Dad can find and take on telecommuting jobs.

Welcome to Washington! The Noori family is a young couple expecting their first baby in December! They just resettled in June, 2019 to Washington state. They moved from Afghanistan where Dad worked in the Ministry of Defense with the US Army. They are in need of household items to help make their house a home as they get resettled and prepare for their baby.

In 2017 they moved to the US through UNHCR. Please help make them feel safe and at home by purchasing some of the items they need.

The father is sick and cannot work and this family could use any help you can give. Lets help this family create a wonderful new life here in the states.

The Yaqubi family includes mom, dad, a son, and 2 daughters. They arrived in the United States from Afghanistan in 2018 and currently live in California. Dad worked for the US Army in Afghanistan for over 10 years and is now excited to adjust to his new life in California. Dad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Afghanistan and is a very hard worker. He would love to work for a large company to gain experience and enhance his skills. He is interested in finding a job in business management. The Yaqubi’s 5 year old son is in school, and Mom takes care of their two younger daughters (ages 7 months and 3 years) at home. They are most in need of the household items. Let's send them a warm welcome to the United States with a gift!

Hello Miry's List community! This is for the Jabari Family, a beautiful family of 4 from Afghanistan. They arrived in Southern California in December 2016. Mom stays home to raise their son and daughter, both under the age of 2. Dad works as a driver for a food delivery service. They just welcomed their new baby, so their most urgent needs are car seats, a double stroller, and bedding for their growing family. Thank you for your help!

Dad used to work with the U.S Army in Afghanistan. The family's apartment is empty and need all the help to fill their apartment.

The family has been unable to move due to the cost and are still in need of many household items. They are working hard but struggle with living costs. Thier youngest child, the daughter, loves the colors pink and purple and wants to be a doctor when she grows up! Please help this wonderful family!

Despite being in the U.S. for almost 2 years, the family does not have a car, are in need of many basic household items and are struggling to pay bills and rent. The youngest son loves to play soccer and wants to play professionaly when he grows up :) Please help this deserving family.

Both parents are educated and worked while living in Afghanistan. They’ve just moved into a house and are in need of essential household items, especially furniture and beds.

The Wardak family arrived from Georgia to California late June 2019 and currently living in an empty apartment. The family is originally from Afghanistan. Wardak family is made up of dad, mom (pregnant and due in September), 9 yr old and 12 yr old sons. The family lived in Georgia for 2 years and decided to move to Los Angeles in June 2019. Dad worked for a U.S company in Afghanistan for more than 15 years and is trying to look for a job in Los Angeles. Let's help welcome this family to LA with open arms! It would be great if they can get help with beds and mattresses, especially since the mother is pregnant.
