The Zamani Family arrived from Afghanistan on July 12, 2017. They lived for almost a year in a one bedroom apartment before recently making the transition to a new apartment in LA. Before coming to the US, Dad had served the US military and Mom was a homemaker. Now settled in California, Dad is working while Mom is staying home to take care of the little ones. With the older children in school and not yet able to work, the family is currently in need of help to meet their basic needs.
Hammada family is a Syrian family of 6 (Mom and Dad, 2 boys and 2 girls) and are expecting a baby girl early August 2019.. The family had to leave their home behind and move to Jordan in 2013. In 2017 they moved to the US through UNHCR. Please help make them feel safe and at home by purchasing some of the items they need.
The AIMoqaddam Family bring a mom, dad, and five boys (ages 8-21) to the west coast. They came to the USA from Syria and Jordan and were originally settled in Michigan. The father is sick and cannot work and this family could use any help you can give. Lets help this family create a wonderful new life here in the states.
The Nasratyar family arrived New York in early 2018. They have six children -- five sons and one daughter-- and all are currently attending school. Mom and Dad are learning English. The family has been unable to move due to the cost and are still in need of many household items. They are working hard but struggle with living costs. Thier youngest child, the daughter, loves the colors pink and purple and wants to be a doctor when she grows up! Please help this wonderful family!
The Shirzai Family has six children from the ages of 6 to 25. They arrived in the U.S. from Afghanistan in late 2017 and are still trying to find solid ground in our country. Despite being in the U.S. for almost 2 years, the family does not have a car, are in need of many basic household items and are struggling to pay bills and rent. The youngest son loves to play soccer and wants to play professionaly when he grows up :) Please help this deserving family.
We’re excited to introduce you to the Hamidi Family and welcome them from Afghanistan to the United States! They arrived in June 2018 but are still in need of living essentials like beds, basic furniture, kitchen supplies and clothing. They are a big family with 7 children — 5 sons and 2 daughters— with ages ranging from 2 to 16. The five who are school age are attending school and need a laptop and a tablet to do their homework. Dad worked as a carpenter for US based companies including the military and World Aid Organizations in Afghanistan and Mom has expertise as a seamstress and cook. They are all happy to be settling into their life in America but are struggling with their acclimatizing to the culture. Thank you for helping them to make their transition into their new life and home in the US with comfort and love.
