The Chakari family is a young family with 3 kids (2 sons ages 5 and 7 and a daughter turning 2 soon) that arrived from Afghanistan to the U.S in February 2017 and relocated to California in May 2019. Dad used to work with the U.S Army in Afghanistan. The family's apartment is empty and need all the help to fill their apartment.
Rajabi family consist of mom, dad with four children ages 10,9, 8 and a newborn boy born in June 2019! Dad used to work in USAID projects in Afghanistan and got injured at work. Mom is currently taking English classes. The family is in need of basic household items and furniture, shool supplies and baby items.
The Nasratyar family arrived New York in early 2018. They have six children -- five sons and one daughter-- and all are currently attending school. Mom and Dad are learning English. The family has been unable to move due to the cost and are still in need of many household items. They are working hard but struggle with living costs. Thier youngest child, the daughter, loves the colors pink and purple and wants to be a doctor when she grows up! Please help this wonderful family!
The Shirzai Family has six children from the ages of 6 to 25. They arrived in the U.S. from Afghanistan in late 2017 and are still trying to find solid ground in our country. Despite being in the U.S. for almost 2 years, the family does not have a car, are in need of many basic household items and are struggling to pay bills and rent. The youngest son loves to play soccer and wants to play professionaly when he grows up :) Please help this deserving family.
The Rahi family from Afghanistan arrived to the United States in February 2018 and had a baby girl born few months later in April. Both parents are working really hard to resettle in their new country. Dad is currently working and mom is taking English courses. The family is in need of household and baby items.

Dad used to work as translator back hom and currently he works as security guard here, but the income is not enought to purchase household items and fullfil their needs. They arrived in June 2018 but are still in need of living essentials like beds, basic furniture, kitchen supplies and clothing. They are a big family with 7 children — 5 sons and 2 daughters— with ages ranging from 2 to 16. The five who are school age are attending school and need a laptop and a tablet to do their homework. Dad worked as a carpenter for US based companies including the military and World Aid Organizations in Afghanistan and Mom has expertise as a seamstress and cook. They are all happy to be settling into their life in America but are struggling with their acclimatizing to the culture. Thank you for helping them to make their transition into their new life and home in the US with comfort and love.
Welcome to LA! The Urfan family are a mom, dad a 2 year old daughter who arrived in January 2018 to Los Angeles from Afghanistan. Dad worked with the US Army back home which qualified his family for a Special Immigration Visa to resettle in America. Mom is enrolled in English classes. Their most urgent needs are kitchen supplies, rugs, and a laptop for mom to continue her English learning at home and they can keep in touch with their family in Afghanistan.
