Originally from Daraa, Syria in the south, this family left Syria in 2013 when Mohammed was three months old, traveling by foot. They walked eight hours to the border to Jordan and lived in camp for one month before moving to the city of Ramtha. They lived there until September, 2016 when they came to US. The three older children are special needs (downs syndrome), the youngest suffers from seizures and is on medication to limit and treat them, and is also mentally disabled. Oldest girl is in a special needs school and the dad has half facial paralysis.
