About the Film
'Displaced' is an unscripted documentary following the Kovalchuk family, who were among the first Ukrainian refugees to arrive in America at the start of the Russian invasion. The film follows three generations of the family through their first days and weeks in Southern California after traveling through six countries and two continents. In the wake of their arrival to an unfamiliar country and culture, they grapple with identity and grieve for their war-torn homeland. As they search for housing to rebuild the sense of security their children have lost, the family must reimagine their entire futures. Learn more about the production team here.
