Thank you for your interest in enrolling with Miry’s List.
Our April 2024 application has closed. Our application will reopen on July 1, 2024 at 9am PT/12pm ET. Please check back at that time to apply.
We are a small but mighty non-profit with the goal of supporting new arrival families all across the US. Our mission is to improve the experience for new arrival families by filling gaps in the governmental system of support for refugees, and providing a mechanism for our community of supporters to directly help families with the things, people and programming needed to thrive in the United States.
We are completely donor funded and are not a government resettlement agency.
What Miry’s List does:
Create and promote an Amazon Wishlist of needs during the first 3 months of enrollment, which allows donors to send welcome gifts directly to families
Provide access to online learning opportunities such as our SANAH cultural and English language program, Career Mentorship, and FATIMEH Mental Wellness workshops
Provides 12 months of wrap-around support and connection with volunteers and staff who can help families navigate their new community, find local resources, and become a new friend
Provide opportunities for volunteerism and leadership as families enter the Thrive stage, giving back to new arrival families who come after them
What Miry’s List does not do:
Provide cash aid or assistance with rent or bills
Guarantee specific items: the wishlist is a guide for donors, not a complete list of items to be received
Provide housing, cars, or transportation
Provide luxury items (such as large electronics)
Provide resettlement or legal assistance
In order to apply, please be sure that your family meets all of the eligibility requirements and have all of your documents ready and available. Our application fills up extremely quickly, so we encourage families to apply as closely to the start time as possible.
