Miry's List and Nela Athletics are throwing a benefit for our new neighbor, Haroon of Aghanistan!

About Haroon: 

On August 22, 2017, Haroon Salhadost's plane landed at LAX from Kabul, Afghanistan. He moved in with Danny and Ann Marie Richter, a local Eagle Rock family, who were eager to welcome him to American and help make his transition easier and more kind. Haroon moved into their guest house.

Maybe it was the jetlag, the adrenaline of begining resettlement, or the excitement of the unknown, but Haroon showed up the next morning to Crossfit Eagle Rock for an 8:30am class together with Danny. Since then, Haroon has become a regular! 

Haroon just moved into permanent housing, a studio apartment in Northridge. We'd like to help him cover the first couple months of rent as he is still seeking employment. Funds we raise will help Haroon get on his feet in his new life in LA.
