Meet the Naween family from Afghanistan! They arrived in the U.S. in August of 2021 and resettled in Sacramento. They are a husband, wife and 1 little boy. The mom is registered in the SANAH program with Miry's list to learn English. Their most urgent needs are laptops, household items and some items and toys to the little boy.
Aman Family
Welcome Aman family! Mom, Dad and three small children arrived in the United States in July of 2021! Dad was a fiscal specialist for the US army in Afghanistan for over 7 years! Mom is at home with the kids and working on learning English at the local college. Most urgent needs are technology for at home learning and things for the children. Please join us in welcoming the Aman family!
Fariwar Family
Welcome Fairwar family! They arrived to the U.S from Afghanistan in August 2021 and settled in the North Bay Area of California. Dad and Mom have 3 children ages 12, 11 and 8 years old, and Dad served International Organizations for over 10 years back home. The children are enjoying their new school and mom is planning to attend ESL classes as soon as she gets her driving license. The kids love to play and are really looking forward to getting bicycles to explore their new neighborhood!
Shamal Family
Welcome Shamal family! Back in Kabul, Dad was a translator for the US Embassy and Mom was a teacher, and this young couple arrived with their 4 year old son in August of 2021. They first stayed in a hotel here before they finally got to move in to their new apartment. They are so happy in their new home and grateful for any help they can recieve with supplies for it.

Meet the Mohammadi family from Afghanistan! They arrived in the U.S. in July of 2021 and resettled in Sacramento . They are a husband and wife and one little boy. Mom is attending English classes currently and feels hopeful for their new life here. Their most urgent needs are laptops and household items, and some toys and a bike for the little one.

Meet the Yadgari family from Afghanistan! They arrived to the U.S. in July of 2021 and resettled in Rancho Cordova, CA. They are Mom, Dad and 1 little boy. Mom is currently learning English and excited to learn. The family recieved some items from our emergency fund but still urgently need more items for their new home.

Meet the Isaqzai family from Afghanistan! They arrived to the U.S. in October of 2021 and resettled in Fairfax, VA. They are Mom, Dad, 2 boys and 1 newborn baby girl. Dad used to be a Data Management supervisor, and mom was a Project Advisor with the US Embassy. They are so thankful to be here and appreciate all your help!

Meet the Bahrami family! Dad has worked for the US Embassy in Kabul for 12 years and provided faithful service to USG in those years. He and his wife came to the US in June of 2021 with their 4 children, ages 7-14 years old. They are so happy to be here in America, but they are in need of many items to restart their lives here.
Rahimi Family
Meet the Rahimi family from Afghanistan! They are a family of 7, with 5 children ages 5-22 and they recently resettled in Virginia. Dad used to work with the US militray back in his home country, and mom was full time parent. The most urgent item they need is a living room set so the family can sit together and enjoy their time together, but they are truly in need of many items to restart their lives here.
Mohamadi Family
Let's welcome the Mohammadi family from Afghanistan! They are a family of 6- mom, dad with 4 children ages 9,6,5, and 1 years old, and they arrived in August of 2021. Dad has a degree in English literature and served as interpreter with US troops in Afghanistan for over 5 years. He is looking forward to continuing higher education here in the US as well! Their urgent needs are bike for dad to go to school and a washing machine.

Meet the Ahmadi family from Afghanistan! They arrived to the U.S. in August 2021 and resettled in Sacramento. Mr & Mrs Ahmadi don't have kids yet but they are so excited to begin their new life together in the US! They are in need of household items, as well as technology to start their new careers here.

Meet the Surkhi family from Afghanistan! They are a family of 5- soon to be 6 with a new baby on the way! Dad worked for US companies in Afghanistan and mom has her hands full with 3 little girls! They arrived in August of 2021 and they need our help with many items to start their new life here in America.

Welcome Hashimi Family from Afghanistan! Dad was an army officer with the US military in Afghanistan and came to the US with his family in December of 2020. They have 3 young children age 5, 4 and 1 year old, and their urgent needs are gift cards to buy winter clothes, a dinning table, blankets, a heater and other house supplies. Thank you for helping!

The kids are going to the school and learning English, the mom is already attending English class as well. The family recieved some items from our emergency fund but still urgently needs a couch for their living room, as well as technology to help with the kids' learning.

Welcome Raufi family from Afghanistan! Mom, dad and their two children ages 9 and 5 years old arrived in August of 2021. Mom served as gaurd in US embassy for 6 years in Afghanistan before coming to the US! Their children are very excited for their new school, going to the park, and making new friends; they miss everything about Afghanistan but are really grateful being here. Their urgent needs are bedding and kitchen supplies.

Meet the Shireenzada family from Afghanistan! They arrived to the U.S. in August of 2021 and resettled in Falls Church. They are Mom, Dad and 1 boy. The mom will attend English class soon and she need the laptop very urgent to start the class. The family recieved some items from our emergency fund but still urgently needs a couch for their living room, as well as technology to help with the mom and the boy learning.
Sultani Family
Welcome Sultani family of 3 from Afghanistan! They arrived in August of 2021. They are mom and dad with their 20 month old baby and new baby due in Janurary 2022! Dad used to serve the US Embassy as mechanic for years. Mom is eager to continue her higher education here. After her new baby is born she will join ESL classes. They are in need of basic household supplies. Their urgent needs are computer, microwave, vaccum cleaner, and a cellphone.
