WELCOME

Over 68 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes due to violence or persecution. Each November, Miry's List, a nonprofit organization serving over 350 families who have recently resettled in America, recognizes leaders who have been impactful in making Los Angeles a more welcoming city for immigrants.

The 2019 Gratitude Gala will be hosted by Jenna Fischer, who became involved with Miry's List in 2017 as a volunteer to help new arrival kids get new shoes for school. Today Jenna serves on the Miry's List Board of Directors and has rallied her friends, family, community and fans to follow her lead and support resettling families.

HONORING ROY CHOI

Miry's List presents the 2019 Gratitude Award to Roy Choi, whose inspired platform has transcended cultural barriers and brought Angelenos together around shared food experiences. Our diverse city of immigrants is deeply enriched from Roy's vision to challenge the status quo and advance social justice.

UPLIFTING LEADERS

Award will be presented by Miry's List ambassador and host of KCRW's Good Food, Evan Kleiman. Evan is passionate about connecting people around the table, breaking through cultural barriers, and making Los Angeles a more welcoming city for immigrants and refugees.
