Back home, Dad was self employed and worked hard to support his family. Mom cared for the household and children. They have resettled in North Highlands, CA and are working hard to build a new start for their family. Mom is currently focused on caring for the children and is enrolled in English classes to strengthen her language skills and expand future opportunities. Introducing the Hamidy family. Husband and wife recently arrived from Afghanistan and are expecting their baby in mid November. They have resettled in Mission Viejo, California, where they are beginning their new life. Back home, the wife worked as a dentist. Introducing the Rahmani family. Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their two children, a seven year old boy and a seven month old baby girl. They are now resettled in San Diego, California. Dad previously worked with the Crops USAID funded project, and Mom is a homemaker who has already started taking English classes as they rebuild their life here.
