The Ahadi family recently arrived from Afghanistan and are now beginning their new life in Carmichael, California. Mom and Dad have two children—a 5-year-old daughter and a baby boy. Both parents worked as medical doctors back home, and Mom is currently enrolled in English classes as they take their first steps in resettlement.
