Introducing the Besmil family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their two children, ages 7 and 5, and have started a new chapter of their lives in Riverdale, Maryland. Back in Afghanistan, Dad was pursuing his master’s degree, while Mom worked as a defense lawyer, using her legal knowledge and experience to advocate for others. Now, as the family adjusts to life in the U.S., Mom is attending English classes to strengthen her language skills and prepare for new opportunities. With their educational and professional backgrounds, both parents are hopeful about rebuilding their lives and creating a stable and promising future for their children.
