Welcome to California, Shahzad family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their four teenagers, who are 11, 14, 15, and 16. Dad worked as a project manager in Afghanistan, but is especially looking forward to enrolling in school here in the US and getting a degree in engineering. This family is especially in need of bedding as they settle into their new home, and says their biggest hope is to build a nice life for their kids here.

Welcome to Ohio, Mostaghni family! Mom and Dad have recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 9 year old daughter and 5, 11, and 13 year old sons. Dad says that if he had a super power, it would be the ability to help all who are in need! This family is especially in need of bedding as they settle into their new home.
Nasratyar Family
Welcome to Orange County, Nasratyar family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their two young adult sons, ages 20 and 17. Dad worked in Education in Afghanistan and mom stayed home to raise her kids. Now they are both enrolled in English classes in their new community and looking forward to their future here. This family is especially in need of sofa and dining table with chairs as they settle into their new home, and greatly appreciate the help!
Irfan Family
Meet the Irfan family! this Husband and Wife recently arrived from Pakistan through Indonesia, and resettled in the Bay Area of California. Mr. Irfan was a Graphic Designer, while Mrs. Irfan was a volunteer in Indonesia for the refugee community. Both husband and wife are taking English classes in their new city, and are looking forward to finding new opportunities there.
Ali Family
Introducing the Ali family! Mom and Dad recently arrived to the Bay Area with their 14 and 16 year old teens, as well as their young adult daughters who are 20 and 25. Mom worked as a teacher in Pakistan, as well as an interpreter in Indonesia. Mom says that her biggest wish in life is to have a happy and bright future for her children.
Ahmadi Family
Introducing the Ahmadi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their two little ones, a 4 year old daughter and 6 year old son. They resettled in Modesto, California, and are getting adjusted to their new home. Dad is especially hoping for a bicycle so he can navigate his new town while he looks for a job. Mom is looking forward to beginning English classes soon, and the kids are excited to make new friends in their neighborhood.
Mohammadi Family
Welcome to Modesto, Mohammadi family! Mom and Dad, along with their 4 year old little boy and 2 year old little girl, recently arrived from Afghanistan. Dad was a student who had his schooling interrupted by the displacement, and hopes to get back to his educational path here in the the US. Mom is a homemaker who is currently enrolled in English classes in her new community. The family is especially in need of bedding and greatly appreciates all the help!
Rawan Family
Meet the Rawan family! Mom and Dad have one daughter, age 14, as well as 4 sons, ages 3, 7, 10, and 11. They are also expecting a new little one soon! Dad served with the US military in Afghanistan in Aviation security, and mom was a stay at home parent. Dad loves to play soccer with his kids and the family is looking forward to making new memories here in California together.
Faizi Family
Meet the Faizi family! Mom and Dad have 6 children, ages 3 to 11 years old, as well as a new little one on the way! They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad served with the US Army, and resettled in Sacramento, California. Mom loves to sew and has a sewing machine on her wishlist, and the kids each have school supplies on theirs as they are looking forward to the new school year beginning in just a few short months!
Dehnawi Family
Welcome to Fairfax, Dehnawi family! The Dehnawi family are a family of seven— Mom, Dad, their 17 year old son, and four daughters ages 11, 12, 20, and 21. Dad worked as a project manager with NGOs in Afghanistan, while Mom was a stay at home mom. Mom is now enrolled in English classes and the kids are all attending school. The family’s most urgent needs are a laptop and tablet for mom and the kids to continue their learning at home and so they can keep in touch with their family in Afghanistan.
Muslih Family
Welcome to Virginia, Mulish family! Mom and Dad have 3 girls, ages 7, 4, and 3, as well as one little 1 year old boy. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad worked in Grants Administration with various organizations. They are especially in need of bedding and kitchen items for their new home, as well as a laptop so Dad can begin to look for job opportunities in his new community.
Shewan Family
Welcome Shewan family! Mom, Dad and their adorable 2 year old son recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Washington. Dad was an Interpreter, and while Mom was a stay at home mom in Afghanistan, her great dream is to become a mathmatics teacher here in the US. Talking with their family back home, especially for Mom with her sisters, is so important to this family, so a laptop is a top priority to keep that communication going.
Aryaan Family
Introducing the Aryaan family! Husband & Wife recently arrived from Afghanistan. They resettled in Federal Way / Washington, and are getting adjusted to their new home. Dad is especially hoping for a bicycle so he can navigate his new town while he looks for a job. Both of them still not attend any English classes.
Nastoh Family
Welcome to Sacramento, Nastoh family! Mom and Dad have a 5 year old little girl and 7 year old little boy, as well as a brand new baby in the home! They recently arrived from Afghanistan where Dad worked in the Justice Sector Support Program. Their 7 year old son, Ahmad, said that he has always dreamed of living in America and is SO excited to be here. He hopes to grow up and be a scientist who helps people, and is already great with computers.
