The Musadiq family recently arrived from Afghanistan and is now beginning their new life in California. Their large and loving family includes Mom, Dad, and seven children ranging in age from 2 to 15 years old. Back in Afghanistan, Dad worked as a civil engineer and construction project manager. Mom has been the heart of the home and is now taking English classes to help her family thrive in their new environment. Let’s give the Musadiq family a heartfelt welcome and offer our support as they settle into their new community and build a brighter future together.

The family includes Mom, Dad, five children ranging from 9 to 20 years old—and they are also expecting a new baby soon! Back in Afghanistan, Dad worked as a medical doctor, and Mom lovingly cared for their home and children. They are now getting to know their new community and taking the first steps toward building a safe and hopeful future. Back home, Dad was a respected university teacher, and Mom devoted her time to caring for the family. Now in the U.S., she has proudly enrolled in English classes and is eager to build new connections. Now in the U.S., both parents are enrolled in English classes as they take steps toward building a new life for their family.

Dad was Education Specialist in Afghanistan and Mom is a housewife. She is taking English classes. They are in urgent need of household items, including baby items.

Welcome Masa Ebrahimkhil and her family! Masa, age 6, recently arrived from Afghanistan with her Mom, Dad, and younger sister and brother. She and her family resettled in the Sacramento area, and are settling into their new neighborhood. Masa says that she is looking forward to making new friends at school, but that she also wants to study hard so she can become an engineer. Her big dream is to help humanity someday.

Introducing the Naqshbandi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 10 year old daughter, 14 year old son, and 23 year old adult son. They resettled in Sacramento, California, and are getting to know their new community. Mom was a biology teacher in Afghanistan, and the kids are especially excited to go to their new school here in California to continue their educational journeys.

Their young daughter is following in Dad's footsteps as a helper as her dream is to become a doctor someday—or even the president of the United States! Her biggest wish though? To make Afghanistan a safe place where girls have full rights and to ensure that no one, anywhere in the world, has to leave their homeland.
