The Nooristani family—Mr. and Mrs. Nooristani and their six daughters, ages 3 through 14—have recently begun a new chapter in El Cajon, California after resettling from Afghanistan. Mr. Nooristani brings valuable expertise as a medical laboratory technician, and Mrs. Nooristani is devoted to caring for their children at home. Eager to build connections and support her family’s success, Mrs. Nooristani is enrolled in local English classes and they are on the waiting list for additional language support. Sedeqi Family
The Sadeqi family—Mr. and Mrs. Sadeqi and their four children, ages 5 through 16—have recently resettled in Carmichael, California after leaving Afghanistan. Mr. Sadeqi brings a wealth of experience as a former university lecturer, and Mrs. Sadeqi is devoted to nurturing their family at home. Both parents are now enrolled in local English classes, eager to strengthen their language skills and fully engage with their new community. Stanikzai Family
The Stanikzai family—parents Roya and Farid and their five children, ages two to fifteen—recently resettled in Virginia after fleeing Afghanistan. Farid served as a Close Protection Officer for USAID in Kabul, and Roya has devoted herself full-time to caring for their children. Both are now enrolled in local English-language classes as they work to build a new life here. Their energetic household is especially excited to celebrate their twin daughters’ birthday on June 11 each year. Your support will help the Stanikzais as they navigate this transition, learn new skills, and lay down roots in their community.
