Meet the Faqiri family! Mom and Dad have two daughters, ages 11 and 17, as well as two sons, ages 10 and 19. They recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in the East Bay Area of California. Dad used to work as Engineer, and his kids consider him their hero. 19 year old Ahmad is looking forward to attending college here in the US and hopes to become a doctor someday and finally reach his goals. They are thankful to be together here in their new home, and are most in need of beds, bedding, and kitchen supplies as they set up their apartment.

Introducing the Fayez family! Mom and Dad have four boys, ranging in age from 4 to 17. They recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in their new home in Virginia, where the kids have recently started school. Mom went back to school as well, enrolling in a neighborhood English class! The Fayez family is in need of bedding this winter, especially as the Virginia weather grows colder, as well as a stroller for their 4 year old so he can easily get around when the family has errands to run.

Dad was a community organizer and teacher in Afghanistan and is looking forward to finding community here in the US.  He and his wife are both taking English classes and the whole family has begun to make friends. The family is also in critical need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home this winter.

The Hashams recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad was a legal advisor for the US State Department. Mom is staying home with her little ones and also taking an English class in her new community. Their little boy, Danial, recently learned how to ride a bike and really enjoys it! Dad is proud to have worked with the United Nations as an IT specialist before coming to the US. The whole family is very excited about their future here and the opportunity that it holds. Mom has already started taking English classes in her community and is enjoying learning and making new friends. Meet the Alizadah family! Mom & Dad have two sweet little boys, ages 5 years and 5 months. They recently arrived from Afghanistan, and resettled in Concord, California. Mom was a dentist in Afghanistan, and Dad was a reporter for the news. Dad is now taking English class, while Mom is taking some time off to bond with her new baby boy. Mom says that a special talent of hers is making connections and establishing relationships in her communities, and she is looking foward to doing that here in her new home.

Meet the Majidi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their nine children, ages 2 to 18 (including a set of twins!). Dad was a psychiatrist in Afghanistan and Mom stayed home with the kids. They are all starting to settle into their new community in Virginia, and Mom has already started taking English classes with her local social services organization. The family is especially in need of bedding so all of the kids can get a good night's sleep as the school season begins.

The Faizis recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Virginia, where their daughter was able to begin school again. Dad would also like to begin studies here in the US, with an eventual goal of becoming an electrical engineer. Most of all, the family is excited about their future here and very grateful for the opportunties they have had. Meet the Aman family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Sacramento with their 3 kids, ages 4-7. Their 6 year old, Muhammad, wants to be a doctor when he grows up so he can help all human beings. His parents say that he is very shy but that he loves to be with his family, who make his heart sing. He and his siblings are all really hoping for bicycles so they can get outside and play with their new friends, and for a dining table to eat family meals together.
