Meet the Sadiqi family! Mom and Dad have 5 children, ranging from toddlers to teens, and have recently resettled from Afghanistan to California. Mom loved to sew for her family, and is really looking forward to having a sewing machine in her new home so that she can bring her beloved craft with her here in the US. The family is also in need of beds and bedding to keep warm on the cool winter nights.

Meet the Zarin family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Virginia. They have three children, ages 4, 8, and 11, who recently began school in their new community as well. The kids love to play soccer together, and to make friends by going to the park near them. Their oldest dreams of being an engineer someday, and is happy to be studying at his new school.

Welcome to California, Arian family! Mom, Dad, and their two preschool aged little ones recently arrived from Afghanistan and are beginning to settle into their new home. Dad was a medical doctor in Afghanistan, so he hopes to work in the healthcare field in some capacity again. The kids keep both their parents active and busy as they explore their new neighborhood, and both dream of having bicycles so they can ride and play with their new friends!

Introducing the Shaker family! The Shakers recently resettled in California after arriving from Afghanistan. Mom and Dad have five teens! Dad worked with the United Nations on the World Food Program back in Afghanistan, and is proud to have served those in need. Now that he is in need of help himself here in the US, he is very grateful for those who have welcomed him and his family with open arms.

Introducing the Sediq family! Mom and Dad have just one preschool aged little boy, who is the pride and joy of his family. They recently arrivedfrom Afghanistan and resettled in their new home in California, where their little one is enjoying going for a bicycle ride and eating strawberry ice cream. Mom worked in the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan so she is making sure her son's life is full of learning too!

Introducing the Shikbani family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their three sons, ages 12, 18, and 19. They've resettled in Northern California, where their son Mazullah has started school in his new neighborhood. Mazullah and his family had the chance to visit Los Angeles during their resettlement as well, which he loved! A kid with a big heart, Mazullah sent the Miry's List team a note of encouragement during the recent LA fires, and a sweet photo of their trip too.

Welcome to Sacramento, Wahdat family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan along with their two little boys, ages 5 and 7. The whole family loves to get outside, having picnics and visiting parking together, and Dad and the boys especially love to play soccer together. They are really looking forward to making new friends in their neighborhood, especially the boys who recently headed back to school.

They recently resettled from Afghanistan, where Dad worked at an NGO. Dad says that if he had one day to do anything in the world, he would take that day to thank everyone who was with him during difficult times in his life.

Welcome to Washington, Sadat family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 4 children, and are settling into their new neighborhood. Mom and Dad were both teachers in Afghanistan, and are thankful that their children have begun attending school in their new community already. The Sadat family is especially in need of car seats and a stroller at this time, which will help them get to school and navigate their neighborhood as well.

Introducing Neyaesh Khadem and the Khadem family! The Khadems recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mom and Dad have three children, ages 2, 7, and 11, and Neyaesh is the oldest. She is very excited to attend school here in the the US, as she hopes to become a doctor someday, and especially one that helps new mothers. Her favorite things about herself are her kindness and strength.

They are especially in need of beds, beddings, and baby items for their newest baby boy as they settle into their new home.

They resettled in Maryland and are building community there in their new neighborhood. Dad is especially enjoying East Coast pizza! This family is especially in need of carseats and a stroller for the kids, as well as beds and bedding as they navigate the cold winter months. Thank you for helping!

Introducing the Amiri family! The Amiris are Mom, Dad, and 4 kids ranging from preschooler to preteen.they recently arrived to the US from Afghanistan, and resettled in California. Their oldest son shared that loves to paint and hopes to become a famous artist one day. He loves living in California because he can go to the beach with his family, which is one of his favorite things to do. They are in need of beds for their new home, and the kids have especially asked for a bunk bed to share with their siblings.

Meet the Daryabe family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their three elementary and middle school aged children. They resettled in California, and are happy to be in a place where they can build community. Dad was a civil engineer in Afghanistan and is looking forward to continuing education here in the US to get back into engineering. His oldest son is also studying hard at school in hopes of becoming an engineer like his dad! All three kids are enjoying their new schoool and looking forward to making new friends as they settle into their new home.

Their youngest says she loves her new neighborhood and school, with her new favorite subject being English. She has been enjoying making new friends, riding scooters with them, and building her language skills by talking and playing with other kids in her community. Her family is so happy that she can follow her dreams here, and grow up to have the career in medicine that she hopes for.

Dad worked in security in Afghanistan and is hoping to find a similar role in his new community. Dad was an electrical engineer in Afghanistan, where the family recently resettled from, and Mom stayed home with the kids. Mom is now taking an English class in her new community, and excited for the new learning opportunities available to her here. She also loves to sew and has a sewing machine on her wishlist, hoping that she can continue her beloved craft here in her new home. The family is also in need of beds and bedding as they settle into their new home.

Introducing the Esteqlal family! Mom and Dad have four children: an elementary aged daughter, preschool aged son, and twin baby girls! They recently arrived from Afghanistan, where Dad proudly served as a security guard for the US Embassy. His oldest daughter says her Dad is her hero! She also shared that she loves running and playing with her little brother, and she hopes to make a lot of new friends in her neighborhood! She and her family are still in need of beds and bedding in their new home, and her baby sisters especially need cribs and carseats. Thank you for helping!

They've resettled in California, where the kids love exploring new parks to play soccer together in. Dad was a teacher in Afghanistan and Mom was a student in college, even while she was a parent. She is going back to school here in the US as well and her kids are looking forward to studying together with her!

Their whole family is very grateful to be able to continue the education of the children here in the US, so that they can follow their dreams.
