The Nooristani family—Mr. and Mrs. Nooristani and their six daughters, ages 3 through 14—have recently begun a new chapter in El Cajon, California after resettling from Afghanistan. Mr. Nooristani brings valuable expertise as a medical laboratory technician, and Mrs. Nooristani is devoted to caring for their children at home. Eager to build connections and support her family’s success, Mrs. Nooristani is enrolled in local English classes and they are on the waiting list for additional language support.
