Introducing Neyaesh Khadem and the Khadem family! The Khadems recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Mom and Dad have three children, ages 2, 7, and 11, and Neyaesh is the oldest. She is very excited to attend school here in the the US, as she hopes to become a doctor someday, and especially one that helps new mothers. Her favorite things about herself are her kindness and strength.
Amiri family
Introducing the Amiri family! The Amiris are Mom, Dad, and 4 kids ranging from preschooler to preteen.they recently arrived to the US from Afghanistan, and resettled in California. Their oldest son shared that loves to paint and hopes to become a famous artist one day. He loves living in California because he can go to the beach with his family, which is one of his favorite things to do. They are in need of beds for their new home, and the kids have especially asked for a bunk bed to share with their siblings.
Daryabe Family
Meet the Daryabe family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their three elementary and middle school aged children. They resettled in California, and are happy to be in a place where they can build community. Dad was a civil engineer in Afghanistan and is looking forward to continuing education here in the US to get back into engineering. His oldest son is also studying hard at school in hopes of becoming an engineer like his dad! All three kids are enjoying their new schoool and looking forward to making new friends as they settle into their new home.
Sahak Family
Welcome to California, Sahak family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their 5 school aged children. Their youngest says she loves her new neighborhood and school, with her new favorite subject being English. She has been enjoying making new friends, riding scooters with them, and building her language skills by talking and playing with other kids in her community. Her family is so happy that she can follow her dreams here, and grow up to have the career in medicine that she hopes for.
Bromand Family
Meet the Bromand family! Mom, Dad, and their two elementary aged little ones recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in California. Their youngest says that she loves her new city, and hopes to visit an American amusement park someday! She is in need of a bed in her new home, and hopes for a bunk bed to share with her brother.
Hamdeedi Family
Meet the Hameedi family! Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan and resettled in Virginia with their two preschool-aged boys. Dad worked in security in Afghanistan and is hoping to find a similar role in his new community. This family is especially in need of beds and bedding, as well as car seats for the boys as they settle safely into their new home.
