The Sadats recently arrived from Afghanistan and are beginning a new chapter in Virginia. The family includes Mom and Dad, their two daughters (ages 20 and 16), and two sons (ages 18 and 13). Back home, Dad was a respected university teacher, and Mom devoted her time to caring for the family. Now in the U.S., she has proudly enrolled in English classes and is eager to build new connections.
