Introducing the Poya family. Mom and Dad recently arrived from Afghanistan with their three sons, ages 12, 10, and 3, and have resettled in Jacksonville, Florida. The family is adjusting to a new environment while supporting their children through this transition. The family is working hard to adjust to their new community and create stability for their children. Back home, Dad worked as a case principal, and Mom was a social worker. Dad is currently enrolled in English classes as the family begins this new chapter.
